Harvest Celebration 2003

Shire of Ambergard Ephrata, Washington

At the beginning of the year the snow lay upon our land and the winds were bitter cold, but as the season changed to Spring and then to Summer, our lands blossomed. Now Fall is fast coming upon us and our harvest will be most bountiful. We would share our bounty with all of our family in An Tir, and do now invite you to Ambergard's Harvest Celebration.

Harvest Celebration will be held on October 25th, 2003. To assist our kitchen staff and troll, please pre-register to let us know you will be attending, space is limited. Site fee: $10 per adult, $5 per child 6 to12, five and under free. Non-member surcharge of $3 in effect. The site is the Ephrata Recreational Center, 112 Basin Street SW. Take your best route to Ephrata, WA, look for the signage; the site is on the main street through downtown. This is the same site we used last year.

The site will open at noon and Serving will be begin at 6:30 p.m .(tentatively scheduled time). There will be games and competitions to fill your afternoon, visit our website for more information. We seek wandering minstrels and bards to assist us in entertaining the populace before and during the feast.

Oasis War
Shire of Ambergard/Grant County WA

How can one Shire have so much fun? How can one Shire put on such a multi-faceted event? Come to the Shire of Ambergard for the Oasis War and find out. Warriors remember this is the first war of the season, come out and play. Merchants are very welcome, with no additional merchant fee. Peddlers Packs are welcome at the tavern.  

War/Event Information: Site fee is $7.00 for adults and $4.00 6 to 13, under 6 free. Make checks payable to SCA Inc. Shire of Ambergard. Remember this includes tavern admission and food. For those of you not able to stay for the tavern please take part in the field food the shire is providing, also included in the site fee.  

Tavern Information: For the second year in a row we will be holding a tavern, not a pot-luck. The shire will be providing the food as part of the site fee. Check out our web site for the tavern fare as we firm up the event. Vegetarian fare is available. For your entertainment we will hold a rapier combat (by insult). We are also looking for any wandering minstrels and bards to help entertain as well.  

Site Information: The war field will be at the Ephrata Middle School, 384 A. Street SE. The Tavern will be held at the Ephrata Recreational Center, 112 Basin Street SW. Both sites are the same we used last year, if you were among those to attend. Look for SCA Signs.

Yule Feast

Shire of Ambergard

January 11th, 2003

Come and join the rest of us who can not attend Kingdom Twelfth Night Coronation. Share with us one last toast to Their Royal Majesties Nicholaus and Alyssia our most wonderful King and Queen. We are having a simple Yule potluck with the Shire providing the main meat dishes of Roast Beast and Salmon. Please bring a side dish or desert to feed 8 -10 people - per every 4 in your family.

 

Event Information: Shire Yule will be held on January 11th, 2003. Site fee is $3.00 per person and $10.00 Family cap. The site will be at the Rebekah Hall located at 1934 Moses Lake Ave (in Lakeview WA near the roller skating rink). Go North on HWY 28 from Ephrata toward Soap Lake Take a right onto Adams Rd. and a right into Moses Lake Ave. The turn off to the Hall will be on the East (right) side of the road. We will have SCA signs out so watch for them. This is the same site as we used for the Constabulary 101 Class and the Newcomers Workshop. The site will open at 1:00 pm if you wish to come and socialize, and we plan on eating at 5:00 pm.

After the feast we will have a "White Elephant gift exchange. Bring a wrapped gift, tagged; Lord, Lady, or either. Please keep it under $5.00 and SCA related. No Alcohol related gifts please. Parents need to bring a gift for their own child (under the age of 12), as they don't understand this style of gift exchange.
