Harvest Celebration IV

Unto the populace of An Tir, greetings from Ambergard Shire. Again the harvest has been found to be plentiful and we now find that we long for friends old and new to gather to share our bounty. Please come and join us for Harvest Celebration IV October 22, 2005. It will be a feast held to honor our fearsome but just King Uther and our beautiful and wise Queen Angharad.  It will be a served feast of culinary delights prepared by the Shire of Ambergard Culinary Guild. Site will open at 2 pm for your pleasure and close at 1 am. There will be games and such during the afternoon and the feast will be served at 6:30 pm (tentatively scheduled time).  We seek wandering minstrels and bards to assist us in entertaining the populace before and during the feast.

Take your best route to Ephrata, WA. The site is the Ephrata Recreation Center 112 Basin Street SW. Basin Street in the main street through town. Look for the SCA signs. Further information on lodgings can be found under maps and lodging on our website: http//:ambergard.antir.com

Site fees: $12.00 for ages 13 & up. $8 for 6-12, ages 5 and under FREE

$3.00 non-member surcharge in force. Checks payable to Shire of Ambergard, SCA, Inc.  Reservations required, please reserve by October 10th, 2005.

War in the Oasis

Shire of Ambergard (Grant County, WA) March 12, 2005

The snows melt, clearing the path once more for war.  The trumpets resound, Your King the Great Warrior Skeggi calls you, the warriors of An Tir, to arms for the Kingdom's first war of the year.  As well as to the tavern for a well-deserved drink and warm food after a hard day upon the battle field. Their Majesties King Skeggi and his beautiful Queen Taisiia invite you to attend their royal court.

Event Info: War site gate opens at 10:30 AM.  Site fee (includes food) is $10.00 for adults and $6.00 for children under 15, with a $3 non-member surcharge in effect.  Food will also be provided to fighters at the war site for those who are unable to attend the tavern.  At the tavern, we are looking for vagabond bards and minstrels to share their tales and songs.  There have also been rumors of a rapier tournament by insult.  The tavern opens at 3:00, and closes at Midnight.  Merchants are most welcome.  We offer a covered shelter at the war site, with tables.  We also have tables available at the tavern.

Directions to the sites:  War site is at Oasis Park, 2541 Basin St. SW. Take your best route to Ephrata. The park is located at the southwest edge of town on Hwy 28. Watch for the SCA signs.  The tavern will again be held at the Ephrata Recreation Center (ERC) in the center of town at 112 Basin Street SW.
